In my quest to bigger tires there are several items that have to be changed on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler JK – Willys Edition. One of those items is the stock tire carrier. The stock carrier will not support a 35″ tire. From my measurements anything over a 33″ tire will not fit and a 33″ tire will be a tight squeeze. (On the Willys edition Wrangler the stock tire size is 255/85r17 which translates into a 32″ diameter tire (almost exactly) with 10″ in width. Also the stock wheel has 6″ of backspacing (which we’ll talk more about in the next post).
